Telephone Advice

telephoneMany medical problems can be dealt with over the telephone without the requirement for a face to face appointment. Both the Duty Doctor and the Nurse Practitioner can offer telephone advice.

Conditions that can be managed by phone would include urinary infections and general health advice. Our Nurse Practitioner triages all requests for urgent or same day appointments with the Doctor. When you telephone for an appointment you may be asked to provide some details of your condition. This will help our Reception staff to direct you to the most appropriate member of our Team. We appreciate that there will be occasions when you may not feel comfortable providing such information and we would respect your privacy in such instances.

If you require telephone advice please phone in the morning if possible as the duty doctor is very often busy consulting in the afternoon.
