Training Practice
Hamilton Medical Group is a recognised training practice, committed to supporting the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
We are actively involved in training medical students and Foundation Year 2 (FY2) resident doctors, who are fully qualified doctors gaining further experience in general practice. These doctors are an important part of the team and always have access to a supervising Senior GP for support and guidance at all times.
We are also working towards becoming a training practice for GP Registrars (GPSTs) - fully qualified doctors who are undertaking specialist training in general practice. We hope to welcome GP registrars to the practice in the near future.
As part of their training and assessments, GP registrars may occasionally record consultations for educational purposes. This will always be done with your explicit consent, and recordings will be handled securely, stored appropriately, and deleted in line with UK data protection legislation. You are under no obligation to agree to recording, and your care will not be affected by your decision.
Training is a key part of maintaining high standards of care, and by supporting doctors at different stages of their careers, we ensure we continue to deliver safe, effective, and forward-thinking patient care.
