Part time. Dr Sekulin became a Partner in July 2011, working four sessions per week. She trained as a GP in Aberdeen after graduating in 2000. She joined the Practice in July 2006 under the GP Retainer Scheme. Her special interests include women’s health and epilepsy. Her hobbies include playing the piano and hill-walking.

Full time. Dr Charleson became a Partner in the Practice in 1998. His special interests are cardiovascular disease, cancer care and Information Technology. He also has a keen interest in the prescribing activity of the Practice.

Full time. Dr Collie became a Partner in the Practice in 1998. Her special interests are hypertension, mental health and child health. She is the Partner responsible for staff management, has a keen interest in Information Technology, and is one of the Lead Partners in driving the quality agenda forward in the Practice. Her hobbies include skiing and travel.
Nurses
Our Practice Nurses are fully qualified to carry out a wide range of services including
chronic disease management (including diabetes, asthma, COPD, heart disease, and high blood pressure), cervical smears and breast self-examinations, injections, treatment of warts, wound dressing and suture removal, immunisation for travellers, health promotion, including dietary and smoking cessation advice.

Healthcare Assistants
The Health Care Assistants are not trained Nurses but work under the supervision of the Practice Nurse. They see patients for blood pressure & routine blood tests, collection and testing of urine, routine height and weight management, health promotion, basic dressings and heart tracings (ECG). They also chaperone the GPs as required.

Our Practice Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the Practice. She can help you with all non-clinical aspects of your care.
Administration
The administrative team consists of administrators, receptionists, and secretarial staff. They are not medically trained. Our Admin team are there to help you and are an important link as your initial contact with the practice. They work under the doctors' instructions so they may need to ask you some medical details. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions, dealing with test result enquiries and updating patient records. Our secretaries help us communicate with hospitals, sending referrals and also dealing with recall letters for our chronic disease clinics.

Pharmacists
The Practice has 2 attached Pharmacists who help with prescribing and often undertake medication reviews, including checking whether blood monitoring is up-to-date. On occasion you may be contacted by the Pharmacist regarding medication to ensure that you are on the most effective combination of medicines for your condition. The Pharmacists also participate in audit and research projects.
Community Midwives
Community Nurses
Community Nursing services in Aberdeen city are provided by NHS Grampian.
District Nurses are highly skilled and experience Nurses with a specialist qualification in nursing care to housebound patients in their own home.
District Nurses are assisted in their role by Community Nurses. They specialise in all aspects of home nursing including assessment of nursing needs, palliative care, anticipatory care, wound assessment, chronic disease management, arranging continence assessment, blood tests, medication and promotion of health to support you to be as independent as possible.
District and Community Nursing services are provided to patients on a geographical basis through Direct Delivery Teams during the day or by the Out of Hours Nursing Service during evenings and weekends (through contacting NHS24 on Tel 111). Health Visitors
The Health Visiting service in Aberdeen city is provided by NHS Grampian.
Health Visitors have a special responsibility for health surveillance and health education in the ante-natal and pre-school period. They offer health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and behaviour management, and also support to women with Post Natal depression. The Health Visitors see children for developmental checks and immunisation. Appointments are arranged through Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership. Health Visitors will carry out home visits as necessary. Your Health Visitor will be appointed based on the area of the city where you live.
